Description

Course Description: Maximize building efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This course covers building design and construction, project delivery, construction materials, and building systems, including HVAC, roofing, and plumbing systems, as well as ceilings, flooring, and interior walls .


Instructor: Joe Havey, CEM, MS RECM, LEED AP BD&C, RPA, FMA, SMA President and CEO ecube, inc.

Joe is a commercial and institutional building professional with over 35 years of experience in building management, building operations, finance, leasing, design/construction, development, project management, HVAC systems, MEP systems, indoor air quality (IAQ), occupant comfort/satisfaction, commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy efficiency, engineering, operations, and training.

Mr. Havey manages a growing consulting firm specializing in energy efficiency, commissioning, and retro-commissioning with offices and projects around the country. Active clients include UC Health, Stanford University, Hines, and Northw, estern Memorial Hospital. Joe was Senior Vice President at Lehman Brothers, responsible for design, construction, facilities and leasing in 100+  locations. He was Vice President and Equity Owner at Denver Place, where his team completed the largest energy retrofit in Denver history and the first Energy Star and LEED-EB building in Colorado. He was Regional Chief Engineer with Hines managing large buildings in several cities. He has a M.S. degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver, and is an Adjunct Professor in the same program.
